Shortly after the turn of the century Hans Weber started designing and manufacturing drum sanding machines for the local slate and wood-working industry.

In order to fulfil the increased demand for his sanding machines, in 1922 he built a new three-floor factory that is still ocupied by the administration staff.

Even in those days the machines were being exported to various countries.

The reason for the success of these sanding machines was the company philosophy, which applies to this day – sound design, reliability and technical innovation.

In 1955 this philosophy resulted in the manufacture of the first wide-belt grinding machine for sheet grinding.

WEBER succeeded in offering to the users innovative solutions for processing flame and plasma cut parts.

For processing of rough edges on laser and plasma cut parts, the planetary head system WEBER invented, adds another solution on the market.
