The success of the
modern industrial laser owes much to the work of the early pioneers -
constantly researching new types of lasers, and developing products whose
sophistication and power have found an ever-increasing range of industrial
uses.
It was just such
a group of pioneers who, in 1981, formed Electrox having already developed
the first successful commercial application for lasers - die-cutting for
producing cardboard boxes - as well as the world's first compact, fast-axial
flow CO2 laser. From this foundation of early success
and achievement, Electrox quickly established a world-leading reputation
as a premier supplier of advanced lasers to a growing portfolio of systems
manufacturers and end-users.
In 1985 Electrox
was acquired by The 600 Group PLC, a leading international machine tools
and materials handling group, with over 20 companies operating in worldwide
markets and representing some of the most respected names in industry.
Today, with the benefit
of commercial and financial stability that Group membership provides,
Electrox can confidently maintain and develop its position at the leading
edge of laser technology in an ever more demanding environment.
The same pioneering
spirit that led to its formation still exists within Electrox today -
constantly researching and developing its products and creating an increasingly
diverse' range of applications for these sophisticated tools.
Electrox specialises
in the design and manufacture of CO2 and Nd:YAG
lasers. From its comprehensive design and manufacturing facilities in
the U.K. and the U.S.A., Electrox has established a firm international
reputation for technical excellence and engineering quality in its two
complementary laser technologies.
